Let us get to know our young Entrepreneur of the week. Question: Can we know you? Answer: My name is Hodonu Mawuton Mayowa, a student of Fine and Applied Arts Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. I am the creative director of Just Kokonut, a C.A.C registered business that makes Art and Crafts all from Coconut shells, I head a branch of Just Kokonut (Coco Crafts by Mawuton) that specialises in making use of coconut shells mainly for the fashion industry, making mini crafts like necklaces and earrings. Question 2: tell us about your business Answer: JustKokonut was founded by my Dad Mr Hodonu Nathaniel, who is an artist that started making use of coconut shells for art pieces (assemblages) in the whole of Africa, with the vision of reclaiming and repurposing coconut shells into functional crafts and aesthetically pleasing art.
